Google draws the line

(Speaking of lines...)

The US Justice Department demanded user search records of Google, and Google said no. Good for them. Especially since the DOJ seems to want the data to make another run at passing a CDA (Communications Decency Act, aka shutting down the Internet as we know it). It concerns me somewhat that Yahoo and MSN have already turned over the data. It disturbs me even more that the data exists to be turned over in the first place. Did you know that some search engines, including Google, keep logs connecting search queries with IP addresses? I didn't. Hmm.

I'm glad Google said no. Disturbed others said yes. Guess I'll stick to Google for search.

I have been stewing about this since I heard of it yesterday. I can only hope people will abandon Yahoo and MSN for their perfidy. There seems to be no place to find from these overreaching fascists. Bah! :(

Give me notice and I'll go spam the…

I've already gotten at least one request to make it an all-Bioware canons kiss battle, which might encourage more participation given the current state of hype for Andromeda... :)

If I go for it, I…

I'm concerned and I don't primarily use DW. I am thinking about backing up my content there, but I'm just not sure about how it will work out. I do need to get on this, though.
