Today was last day of a long, stressful quarter. (Well, technically it doesn't end until tomorrow. But I don't work tomorrow, so as far as I am concerned, today is it.) And so now it is break. It's only a week long break, and I'm going to spend most of it traveling to and attending a librarian conference on the East Coast, so I guess it's not much of a break. And next quarter will likely be equally stressful, for different but related reasons. Still, I'm glad to be able to put an end point on these last three months, and at least have the illusion of a break. Change of scenery, a day with anzubird and amybang, plus a little time with my sister-in-law and a chance to meet and interact with librarians from other colleges. All good things.

Still, I hope I get some real kick-back time this weekend. T wants to see an exhibit at the Exploratorium, which sounds good. As long as we don't spend every day running around. I need some downtime. And some time to work on my ff_exchange project. (I got a few paragraphs written this week! ....yeah. Not panicking yet, but, uh, maybe I ought to be.) And some quality time with my couch. Poor couch; it hasn't seen much of me lately.
