MCU Fic: "Down and Out on the Red Carpet"

Title: Down and Out on the Red Carpet
Fandom: Marvel Cinematic Universe (mostly The Avengers)
Rating: G
Wordcount: 4,375
Characters: Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanoff, Nick Fury, Tony Stark, Pepper Potts (with brief appearances by Clint, Thor, and Jane). Background Tony/Pepper and Thor/Jane.
Spoilers: Nothing really .
Summary: The Avengers get their invitations to the Hollywood premiere of The Tower, the big budget blockbuster about the Battle of New York. And Steve is not looking forward to it.

Notes: This is my story for the [tumblr.com profile] mediavengers mini-bang project. If you're not familiar with MediAvengers, by [archiveofourown.org profile] nottonyharrison, I really suggest you check it out. It's one of my favorite things going in fandom right now. The artist's concept is to imagine how print media might cover the events and people of the MCU. One ongoing theme is that two competing movies are being made about the Battle of New York: a political thriller directed by David Fincher, and a Michael Bay blockbuster. Since I really love this idea, writing a fic based on it seemed the obvious choice. So that's what I did. Many thanks to [personal profile] justira for betaing.
